Highly realistic painting of a red rose. Dramatic composition with strong diagonal, playing the cool colored background off the warm colored rose. Good detail and highly realistic, but still painterly. The painting was completed in 1993 and is part of a private collection. This is the first time the painting has been offered as a print.
Thank you for visiting. I started out as a painter. I love Oil Paint, but the process is slow. In 2017 I began to develop a style based on my desire to produce richly colored Impressionist images without paint. I create “Digital Images” with the look of highly layered, glazed Oil Paintings and Watercolors. My approach to creating these images is the same as when I use Oil Paint and a brush. The only digital tool / software I use is Photoshop.
